Clary had been heading to her shift at the shelter. Her backpack was slung across her back while she sported a pair of green shoes that would have looked ostentatious if not for her pink sweater that pulled the eye upward. Everything was slowly snapping into place like a puzzle being forced together by a give year old. Clary still felt the nagging sensation that something was off but she couldn't remember the details so it didn't feel all that important.
She paused when she heard the voice behind her and turned. Bright green eyes fell on the taller raven haired girl and Clary felt intimidate envy. She'd always been short and lanky but this girl was nothing like that: tall, slender but beautiful. She realized a few moments to late that she was staring and the girl had asked her a question.
"What do you mean?" Clary didn't recognize Isabelle at all though there was that nagging feeling, the one that she felt when something slipped momentarily out of place. "I'm sorry, have we met before?"
