Nyx had just got done with a shift at the gym when he spots Jyn get abandoned by one of the presumably helpful townsfolk. He recognizes that lost look on her face, having seen it on himself and a number of friends before, and he grits his teeth against the flash of anger at whatever the leaders of this town are trying to do here. This is three...no, four times now that people like them have appeared.

It's frustrating to be no closer to answers. Only more questions.

He finishes zipping up his gym bag and shoulders it, offering her a smile that he hopes is more reassuring than the overly chipper expression the other lady had.
