Considering how casually Taako walked down the street, absorbed as he was in his chores and shopping, it shouldn't be a surprise that the call caught him off guard. His shoulders hunched up around his ears and he froze in space for a good minute. The voice didn't sound familiar, so he decided it was worth investigation. Probably one of the new batch. This could take a while, so he placed his grocery bags down for the time being - Not on the ground, but he let them float idly in the air.
"Hail and well met," He begun as he turned on his heels. The greeting got put on hold, because the moment Taako saw the new woman's features he went quiet. Her ears! Pointed! Like his. It seemed ridiculous for him to ping onto that, since as far as he could remember (granted, it wasn't much) he didn't have any strong loyalty to his species or family. Maybe it was because she could be a connection to his life before?
Either way, it made him that much more eager to introduce himself.

"Taako, darling. You would be?"
