Jace stopped and looked at Alec for a moment before giving him back the smoothie. He didn't take the sandwich, he wasn't hungry. "The three-legged race looks fun."

He didn't like being the reason Alec was upset or worried and it wouldn't kill him to put on a smile and try some of the games if it would make Alec happy. Alec being happy was far more important to him.
