He may yet choose to 'reveal' it at a later date, but for now it would do to simply enjoy himself and how obviously uncomfortable his little joke was making his companion. If the mere idea of being near a coffin, one explicitly stated to not be in use for keeping bodies, helped encourage the man to drink... then there were so many other things to keep an eye out for! There was no point to squander all of his own mysteries immediately.
Even so, he did move so that the coffin was resting further on his shoulder and tilted somewhat to the side to give it more of a guitar-case-like air. Perhaps that would make this fellow more amenable.
