OTHER INFO: I'm in the US (Mountain Standard Time). I work 9-5 ostensibly but the nature of my work means some non-traditional hours. I'm also experiencing some health issues right now. This all can put me a little on the slow side when it comes to tags but I'm very accessible by ping or PM during the day or at almost any time if you want to plot or chat about something.

CANON: Houseki no Kuni

WHO ARE THEY?: Phos is Complicated. He's way older than he looks (300) and behaves in odd and rebellious ways. He's kind but not smart (he'll tell you he's not smart dw), so he makes a lot of mistakes. Also he has a guilt complex the size of a mountain. He's got Issues bruh. As something sillier though, human society is totally new to him and so he's confused. A lot. Getting used to things but still confused. he doesn't even know what dogs are, please rectify this
ETC ETC: He's a living gem!! Aka, he's made of phosphophyllite- except for his legs and arms. His legs are made of agate and his arms are formed of gold/platinum alloy (they're squishy and stretchy!!) His body is super flashy he knows ok it's embarrassing. But yes, he can't die but he can break if you hit him hard enough (his torso/head anyway). As for what he does in town..... good question. Mostly lurk around and be suspicious and uneasy of people. Also go into the forest and have to drag his heavy butt out again. Someone make him get a job.

Final note: Phos has no gender. The manga uses male pronouns as a default (he, brother, etc) but your character can feel free to call him whatever they want!! "It" isn't even technically wrong just rude tbh.

CURRENT PLANS: I've been slow af but I'd really like to get him involved in at least some low-level plotting regarding the town. He can't die so self-preservation isn't a thing really (assuming in the event of a Fete he would simply be crushed until completely immobile). And by that I mean, danger won't turn him off. Phos is in a somewhat unstable and suggestive state of mind- back home he was becoming overly paranoid of his own leader, so that'll show up here. Hence me wanting him to get into trouble tbh.
CR YOU'RE LOOKING FOR: All of it! Houseki no Kuni looks like a cute shoujo manga but it's not. He goes through tons of trauma so violence and other harsh subjects are something I'd actually want to rp with him. I'm mean.

Also, good stuff. Buy him cute clothes tbh. He's shiny and pretty. He needs friends but he's a weirdo so

I MEAN please be his friend.

WHO ARE THEY?: Alec is basically the snarky, quiet, big brother. Telling people no and that something is a bad idea is his role in life. He's introverted and very blunt because he lacks tact not because he's being mean. Once he starts remembering his family, he's going to be a little lost since he's always taken care of them. Back home, Alec is a Shadowhunter. His take on that is that he's basically a supernatural cop. He makes sure supernatural beings follow the rules and don't hurt people in permanent ways they didn't consent to.

He was basically raised in an isolated environment, interacting with a handful of people. Sometimes this shows with his confusion over what is thought of as 'normal'. He's part of a warrior bigoted warrior culture and it sometimes shows even though he doesn't believe in those ideals. He's getting better with his people skills but his grasp of pop culture is iffy.

ETC ETC:

Alec is tall, dark and broody. He had a preference for black leather and it looks like he's covered in tattoos. Until his memories return, he's not going to be sure if he's a biker or some type of goth kid. He's going to be missing something but he's not going to figure out that that 'something' is actually a someone. He's going to be moping over that for awhile but his memories have him thinking that he's recently married to Magnus Bane so missing his family will be counteracted by being disgustingly in love with his 'husband'.

CURRENT PLANS: Alec will be settling into married life and I'm tentatively thinking of having him open a business in the near future. I'd also like to have him volunteer with kids. Is there a town library? Alec would do story time and promises not to be scary. If the veteran support group allows people who didn't fight in traditional wars, Alec should probably attend a couple meetings.

CR YOU'RE LOOKING FOR:

Alec needs to get out more and quit being an introvert. He's more comfortable around people who are supernatural but he needs non-supernatural friends as well. He IS the big brother type so he needs people to fuss over. Also, since he's happily 'married' to Magnus, the magical folk that Magnus is drawn to will probably end up being protected by grumpy cat Alec. Negative CR is okay since Alec DOES lack tact and he doesn't really understand societal norms sometimes.

WHO ARE THEY?: a terrifying oni from japanese mythology currently in the body of a tiny girl, ibaraki is half convinced all humans are good for it producing chocolate. LITERALLY CHAOTIC EVIL. most things that might bother humans don't bother her, like dismembering rotting corpses with her bare hands, and she's pretty fuckin weird...
ETC ETC: master information/servant abilities, shapeshifting permissions. also her right hand/forearm is detachable. LET HER EAT YOUR CHOCOBO

CURRENT PLANS: iba has no plans further than her next meal. i'm extremely flexible with her in a variety of situations, oftentimes the more ridiculous the better.
CR YOU'RE LOOKING FOR: while ibaraki is unlikely to try and... eat... people... yet... she still has a moral compass pointed firmly in a "fuck bitches get candy" direction. she really can work with just about anyone who's willing to put up with fate levels of ridiculous bullshit, or tries to ignore it. specific things i'd be happy to do include:
  • non-judgemental (or at least silently judgemental) morality guides! people who will say "ibaraki maybe dont do [a bad idea]" or "ibaraki maybe actually do [other bad idea] instead?" keep her productive. she blew up a fucking car and went to jail because someone said they'd give her pancakes. like. come on.

  • people to freak out with her weird oni shit? like i need at least one person to get tricked into the "handshake but now you pulled her damn hand off, at least it just a fake haaaand nope thats her real hand oh jesus christ her hand came off" gag.

  • DO YOU HAVE FOOD? GIVE HER SOME.

  • gang underlings. GANG UNDERLINGS??? she ran a gang of oni back in her myth, and has a weirdly responsible attitude about underlings... she does her best to take care of them and will fuck your shit up if you fuck with her gang, okay? she's a good boss, fuck you.

  • negative cr is kind of risky without the aforementioned morality guides. even without a master she's far more powerful than your average human, and has zero qualms about violence, so pissing her off means risking the well-being of other characters. if you're up for that, great! let me know. otherwise i'll try to steer it away from catastrophe...
    • FALSE MEMORIES PLOTTING: BOOM. contrary to her canon self, iba's au history is kind of shitty? she was bullied a lot???? she also looked 100% human in memories, only emphasizing the fact that she's technically a monster with her nasty oni hands and horns.
