WHO ARE THEY?: There's a pretty good rundown on his profile for reference, but I'll try and give a quicker one: nearly eight foot tall scar and PTSD riddled war veteran survivor of military experimentation vegetarian (previous) homeless man who works for the war relief section of the army, which tends to involve either running soup kitchens or battling tanks single handed; his upbringing was rather unique in that he was raised by a politicaly disgraced doctor and a small community of sex workers, followed by a children's commune in the middle of a completely lawless zone run by gangs and organized crime in what amounts to anime fantasy pre-WWI Germany.
ETC ETC: Probably going to be at his 'job' at the animal shelter often, probably going to end up falling asleep anywhere but at his house, will absolutely help anyone who asks him for help, he'll probably do a lot of walking around trying to learn the place and the people, his left hand is almost entirely made of scars on the palm, he will never be found without the steel lantern he keeps on his hip

CURRENT PLANS: Nothing so much other than working at the animal shelter and joining the war veteran support group re: Bucky and Steve, I believe
CR YOU'RE LOOKING FOR: Friendships! Randel has a lot of emotional distance issues but he's much better with friends to look out for and looking out for him. Investigators! The environment around town reminds him of the town Karusel from the plot arc just before he came and he'll want to find out what's going on and try to do something about it. Romance? Go for it, but he's going to be super-resistant so if you're all right with it being VERY VERY slow burn and difficult, I'd love it. False memories! Given the framework in his head for 'family', he's totally good for lots of adopted 'siblings' so that's definitely something I'd love but I'm up for just about anything!

Sliding in here to tell you that I love you and their current thread and if you want to do more I figured you'd hit me up on plurk but <3's

Fellow experiment here, kept in a cell for years on a college campus - so they have that in common! Damon's friendly enough in Pines that they could know one another, given false memories. Damon also runs a garage with his brother, if Randel ever had car trouble.

He probably won't have much car trouble since he definitely doesn't know how to drive (it's more uncommon in his era/world to drive) but I'd be down for some false memories! Maybe schoolmates or childhood friends or old neighbors or something?

Definitely classmates. Maybe athletic rivals, or even something with Katherine (his now wife, he dated on and off in high school...)

Maybe Randel liked Katherine and wanted to be her friend, it came off as romantic interest, things were AWKWARD and it kind of turned into a frustrated athletic competition even as there was kind of a friendship that got rocky at the same time?

Oh, I like that. That's colorful. And now they're begrudging neighborly people who never got close but don't hate one another.

Also, it's entirely possible (and probable) Katherine had him wrapped around her finger and made it look like it was a romantic interest to manipulate Damon. She's awful like that..

Like it was starting to get close and then both of them feel betrayed because Randel is like 'why do you think I'd ever do that to you? is that how little you trust me?' and Damon thought he was moving in on his girl and yes, Katherine could toootally do that thing. I wonder how Katherine player might feel about that ^_^

So, yes, yes. Katherine would have used her powers of manipulation to really play up the romantic interest she saw brewing (probably realized it wasn't a sincere one too) to hurt Damon (he probably hurt her first!!! or something. relationship dramaaa)

ALSO since it sounds like Randel would like friends and expressed an interest in being friends with her, how about they end up forging a genuine bond, too? :) Maybe even one where they got close! As friends, of course. Like, she can be a huge bitch when she wants to be (entirely to hurt/get back at/manipulate Damon, in this case), but she also DOES possess a heart and likes friends. Also, she needs real friends, LMAO. This isn't a very good example to support her capacity to care about people, but she definitely can and does.

YES more friends. Katherine, feel free to have this giant teddy bear for good friend-things. But I am down for all of this!

Yay!! Excellent! She'd be good to have on your side, too, as a real friend. I love negative CR with her, but I'm excited to explore something like this too!

Yes, she will be a good friend. He has all the ferociousness of saint bernard puppy 90% of the time and tends to let people walk over him.
