Sure! A childhood friends sort of deal? If that's the case, then you can expect Pepper to stop into his Rescue every now and again to chat.

Same question for Pepper! and:

For embarassing, he probably fell into a lake or a pond or something trying to save her from the same at some point; the boy is clumsy as anything most of the time. He's very much a pacifist so I could see them getting into an argument about him joining the army; his reason is going to be much like in canon, namely he needed money for a sibling's medical issues. for something more touching and meaningful, he commemorates the dead by sending little wax paper boats with a candle and an offering down the river as a way to send their souls and it's a custom from his father's side.

oh no that sounds adorable! i bet she would have attempted to help him out and then fallen in herself… making it all moot. but she would also try to keep him from joining. i can see her offering to help by giving him some money. when he was gone she prob. spent a lot of time worrying. 8(. aw. he’s too darn sweet. if that’s something he did as a kid, then it might be something she adopted.

she saw him as something of an older brother, being an only child. would confide in him, because school and work and boys… she would stress herself out a lot.

Yes, he definitely did it as a kid so feel free to have her do that! And I can just fake!imagine the two of them walking home, soaked, after he spent twenty minutes trying to find one of her shoes and it's funny but he doesn't want her to catch cold. And he'd totally listen and quietly support her through things while they grew up, believing in her at all times; he's very very positive about the people he loves.

haha, that is TOO perfect. and they never did find that shoe. it’s prob. still down there… she refuses his coat or something because she doesn’t want him to catch a cold and it’s a back and forth the entire walk home. but that’s something she’d really really really appreciate ;3; she’d do her best to support and help him too. every step of the way.

She'd probably know (to make things match up) that he's not the sort to try and bother her and lean on her but he'll try and check up on her and make sure SHE'S okay even though he clearly isn't. They're already adorable how did this happen..

she would have prob said it, like, once... let him know that if he ever needs anything that he can come to her. but she wouldn't bother him... unless, of course, she thought something had happened all of a sudden. SHE GETS WORRIED, OK. they really are. at some point they should go back down to the lake... and fall in again.

She should be worried! ... he's kind of a mess. But they absolutely should.

Did you want to have them meet sooner or later? Just kind of... impact, wise?

oh, and one more thing, pepper would have eventually left wayward to pursue a career in something she can't quite remember right now, but she only recently came back... only to end up in a car accident.

we can do sooner! she will be so happy to see him again!

If you wanted we could probably set something else up, so they've both had a little time to adjust. I'm sure their first day in this place went about the same... being super confused about everything.

...and yup. Loooots of staring. He literally just walked around trying to make things make sense so agreed!

pepper was completely frazzled in the hospital and things didn't get any better out on the streets.
