I have the feeling that Sarah has a circle of ladyfriends she goes out with one a regular basis (or has frequent girls' nights with, more likely given... Wayward Pines being what it is).

...Would she have been a student of Sam's? He's been in Wayward Pines, according to his false memories, for about ten years, teaching for probably eight of them. I can never tell how old TV people are supposed to be. Is she twentysomething? Is she a teen? IT'S A MYSTERY.

Oh no he would have been a baby teacher when she started classes with him. She would have gotten to see him at PEAK HUMAN DISASTER.

AND SARAH: She would have been starting high school as a sophomore the year Caroline graduated, so they would have had a little bit of overlap there. That could be how they met, potentially? She's a wicked-smart, mildly psychic (it helps explain some plot holes, anyway), art-focused party girl with very little sense of self-preservation.

Oh man, I hadn't even considered that, BUT SHE MIGHT BE. At the very least she probably took a lot of pictures of cheerleading practices and at games/pep rallies.
