Since we've decided how the bedroom could work, I like the idea of ex from high school during one of his and Katherine's off patches. Or, a few even. Though, she could also be a now-thing as well, because both Damon and Kathrine stray outside of one another. (In Pines them and out, they're both technically single, though Damon feels engaged to his comatose girlfriend. Long... story.)

ANYWAY, ex or current on/off lover, could be great. Or, both. How does Marie feel about married men...

I think... both. Both is good. Maybe they had a thing in high school during an off time, and then in false memory land Marie went off to college, taught at a private school for a while, then moved back. Cue on/off lover status.

Usually, being in any sort of relationship with a married man would be a big fat nope for Marie, but since both parties are aware of the other straying and they continue the pattern... Well, she doesn't always make the best life choices, so why start now?

Of course. And, of any women he's with, Marie is probably the one he has real (fake, thanks Pines) feelings for, so he treats her right. He has that fondness from high school. She's probably the girl he should've married, if he's honest with himself. But, alas, he went for passion and pain.
