HI you! I know we're doing the planning and plotty things on Plurk but since I'm here a question rose to mind and I think I might forget it if im not careful lol. Would Magnus be able to detect that he messed with Clary's memories? Since she's still from close to the beginning of book one?

No problem! And yes, we could explore that as an option if you'd like. For a while he won't have much control over his magic—a lot of it is done on instinct—but maybe later on. I am giving him a vague sense of when someone isn't exactly human, like a supernatural aura almost, which might help them not to part ways too quickly

Cool! and that makes sense. I just didn't know if he'd recognize his own footprint, even if he doesn't know what he did. Magic is weird.
